Danone is looking for an Account Manager AFH for the Flanders region, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers within the Away From Home (AFH) channel. In this role, you will drive the presence and growth of Danone’s brands across the Horeca sector, with a particular focus on coffee bars, premium restaurants, summer bars, and key intermediaries such as wholesalers, brewers, and beverage distributors.

You will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building long-term partnerships, and delivering sustainable growth in line with Danone’s commercial strategy. You will serve as the link between the Key Account managers and the customers. In your role you will be focused on our Plantbased, Waters & Dairy portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of customers within the AFH channel across Flanders.
• Actively prospect and acquire new customers and business partners to drive sales growth.
• Develop business within coffee bars, high-end restaurants, summer bars, and relevant distribution networks.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and strategic partners.
• Lead commercial negotiations and secure agreements that generate value for both the customer and Danone.
• Identify market trends, emerging channels, and new business opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Finance, and other cross-functional teams, to ensure successful execution of commercial plans.
• Implement brand activation and customer development initiatives within the AFH channel.
• Monitor business performance and proactively recommend actions to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
• Adapt quickly to market dynamics and evolving business strategies.

In order to be successful in this role, you bring

• Proven experience in a commercial B2B sales role, preferably within FMCG, foodservice, beverage, or horeca environments.
• Strong understanding of the Flemish horeca market and its key players.
• Experience in catering, foodservice, or institutional kitchens is considered a strong asset.
• Excellent commercial and negotiation skills with a strong results-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage existing networks while successfully developing new business relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a natural ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Agile and adaptable, with the ability to quickly respond to strategic and market changes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive impactful commercial discussions.

Language Skills

• Dutch proficiency is essential for managing the Flanders region.
• Good knowledge and understanding of French and English is a definite plus.
