Nutricia UK is the highly successful arm of Danone's Medical Division, and a leader in the market, working to make medical nutrition an integral part of healthcare. Nutricia is the dietetic voice in the business - we use clinical and nutritional knowledge for our ultimate goal of improving outcomes for patients.

Role Purpose:

To accelerate growth of the Nutricia allergy portfolio by influencing and securing favoured positioning for Neocate LCP and Aptamil Pepti 1 on community guidelines. Facilitate the adoption of these guidelines across the ICS ecosystem to achieve fair market share for Nutricia. Collaborate with the regional paediatric CTMs to build trusted partnerships across the healthcare economy to protect and grow market share. 

  • Focus on the paediatric allergy portfolio, operating as a product and business expert within the context of community guidelines.
  • Report directly to the L8 Paediatric NHDM, aligning activity with the broader national strategy.
  • Monitor regional performance against the business plan, providing regular reviews & recommending actions to optimise growth. 


Key Activities:

PAEDIATRIC PORTFOLIO:

  • Prepare & implement key strategies based on the overall national business plan set out by L8.
  • Target priority guideline renewals early, to influence and secure favourable positioning for Nutricia
  • Drive formulary & guideline negotiations with key external stakeholders.
  • Secure adoption of Nutricia Paediatric products in Primary Care through effective guideline development & implementation.
  • Rapidly implement guidelines, ensuring sustainability through the Sales team support.
  • Identify under-indexed areas and develop strategies to increase market share.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to ensure account plans are aligned & executed effectively.
  • Monitor performance against business plans & provide regular reviews to the Paediatric National Healthcare Development Manager (NHDM). 

 

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & ADVOCACY:

  • Build & maintain trusted partnerships with Dietitians, Paediatricians, GPs, Medicines Management, & other NHS decision makers.
  • Understand locality funding flows & decision-making processes across Primary and Secondary care & ensure a positive
  • Identify, profile, & develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) & advocates, with tailored engagement plans. 

 

MARKET INSIGHT:

  • Provide insights into local & national NHS processes to optimise brand positioning.
  • Proactively spot opportunities & threats to the Nutricia portfolio, proposing innovative solutions to maximise growth.
  • Implement creative projects to overcome prescribing barriers & unlock new opportunities.

 

INTERNAL COLLABORATION:

  • Work cross-functionally to drive business growth & provide insights on key processes and forums. 

 

This is a field based role, covering North England & Scotland. 

Sobre ti

We would like you to demonstrate the following key skills:

  • Proven track record in account management/healthcare business development, ideally within medical nutrition, pharma, or related sectors. 
  • Strong knowledge of NHS structures (ICS, PCN, HB), funding flows, formularies, & guideline processes.
  • Demonstrated success securing formulary/guideline wins & primary care adoption.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement with Health Care Professionals (Dietitians, Paediatricians, GPs) & decision-makers (Medicines Management, commissioners, budget holders). 
  • Experience delivering regional business plans aligned with national strategy.
  • Commercial acumen: analyses data, identifies opportunities, & builds business plans.
  • Relationship building develops KOLs, advocates, & partnerships.
  • Strategic execution: translates national strategy into measurable regional actions.
  • Negotiation & communication: confident with clinicians and payors.
  • Collaboration & adaptability: cross-functional, flexible & agile.

 

Our field-based principles mean you’ll need to be living in North England or Scotland. If you're unable to relocate, we will not be able to consider your application for this role.

 

You will also need to hold a full UK driving license and must be comfortable with regular driving to meet with your customers.

 

Salary Bracket: £48,000-£53,000 + bonus & benefits
