As Senior Product Analyst for Talent Management & Skills, you act as the technical expert and solution reference for the product team. You advise the Product Owner and delivery team on SAP SuccessFactors Talent & Skills capabilities, configuration options, technical impacts, data implications and risks. You also lead external benchmarking, monitor SAP innovations and market practices, and translate relevant best practices into scalable, maintainable solution recommendations for the product scope.

You ensure that validated Talent Management & Skills business needs are translated into robust, scalable and maintainable solution designs, while advising the Product Owner on technical feasibility, risks and trade-offs. You anticipate configuration impacts across Talent Management & Skills campaigns, strengthen the internal technical expertise of the ITHR Talent Management & Skills team and ensure that external benchmarks and best practices inform product improvement decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SAP SuccessFactors Technical Leadership
- Serve as the main technical reference for SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management & Skills capabilities within the product team
- Assess configuration options and recommend solutions that are scalable, standard, maintainable and aligned with SAP SuccessFactors best practices and external benchmarks
- Anticipate configuration impacts, dependencies, risks, data implications and integration consequences across the HRIS ecosystem
- Challenge overly complex, customized or unsustainable requests and propose pragmatic alternatives

Solution Design and Technical Advisory
- Translate validated business needs into high-level solution approaches, design principles and configuration recommendations
- Support the Product Owner in understanding technical feasibility, complexity, risks and trade-offs before prioritization decisions are made
- Review major functional and technical specifications to ensure consistency with product principles and system sustainability
- Provide technical guidance to the Product Analyst, consultants, Chapter members and other delivery contributors, define the scope of delegated configuration and data administration activities, and review or approve higher-risk changes when required

Backlog Readiness and Story Quality
- Ensure that stories are technically mature before entering delivery, with clear dependencies, acceptance criteria, configuration assumptions and risks
- Support backlog refinement by clarifying technical impacts, feasibility and sequencing options
- Help split complex requests into deliverable stories while sharing recommendations for backlog prioritization with the
Product Owner
- Prepare technical handover inputs for the Product Analyst, consultants and Chapter members

Technical Governance and Knowledge Building
- Contribute to technical governance by documenting design decisions, configuration rationale and lessons learned
- Build and maintain internal knowledge on SAP SuccessFactors Talent Management & Skills modules and configuration principles
- Monitor relevant SAP SuccessFactors innovations, releases and best-practice evolutions and assess their relevance for the product scope
- Coach the Product Analyst on configuration logic, technical follow-up and quality expectations

Quality, Risk and Continuous Improvement
- Identify risks related to configuration debt, fragmented processes, poor maintainability, data quality or user experience
- Recommend improvements to simplify the solution landscape and reduce long-term operational complexity
- Support critical issue analysis by bringing technical expertise and root-cause analysis capability

We expect you to have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in HRIS, SAP SuccessFactors, Talent Management, Skills Management or related HR technology environments
• Strong experience with configuration principles, solution design, technical impact assessment and HRIS dependencies
• Experience supporting complex Talent cycles in an international environment is strongly preferred

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Talent modules, ideally including Goals, Succession, Development, Career and Skills-related capabilities
• Ability to anticipate configuration impacts and recommend best-practice solution options
• Ability to define technical guardrails, assess the risk level of configuration and data administration changes, and provide effective guidance, review and approval for delegated system interventions
• Strong analytical mindset, technical curiosity and ability to challenge solution complexity constructively
• Clear communication with both technical contributors and non-technical stakeholders
• Good understanding of Agile delivery, backlog refinement and story readiness
