• Lead and coordinate the microbiological laboratory team, ensuring effective supervision of testing methods, release, and monitoring parameters.
• Oversee laboratory accreditation processes (GLP, ISO/IEC 17025, proficiency testing), ensuring ongoing compliance and readiness for audits.
• Manage method validation and verification for new microbiological methods, supporting innovation and technical advancement.
• Develop, mentor, and coach laboratory analysts to achieve high performance, competency, and motivation.
• Analyze and review laboratory data, test reports, and trends; provide recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (production, supply planning, QA, R&I, engineering, logistics) to resolve microbiology-related issues, customer complaints, and support cross-functional projects.
• Represent the laboratory in cross-functional meetings and project teams, supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Maintain and update laboratory work instructions and SOPs, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory changes.
• Oversee laboratory consumables and budget, optimizing cost efficiency and resource utilization.
• Coordinate proficiency testing programs and external laboratory partnerships to benchmark and improve laboratory standards.
• Act as deputy for the Laboratory Manager when required, making decisions on laboratory operations, planning, and quality issues.

• Bachelor’s degree in science (Microbiology) or related fields; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 5 years working in a microbiological laboratory, with experience in a supervisory or team lead role
• Good command of English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, PowerPoint, LIM system (BAMBOO), Power BI).
• Experience as Laboratory Supervisor, Laboratory Leader, or similar role in a food or pharmaceutical laboratory.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and laboratory accreditation processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data interpretation skills
