As our Quality & Food Safety Senior Team Manager, you will play a key leadership role within the Plant Leadership Team, shaping the quality strategy, driving food safety excellence, and building a high-performing team that ensures compliance across all products, processes, and services.

As the Quality & Food Safety Senior Team Manager, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for all Quality and Food Safety activities within the plant.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable food safety and quality regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety, and operational performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Promote a proactive, risk-based approach to quality and food safety management.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable business results and support operational excellence.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Quality & Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Lead audits, quality improvement projects, investigations, and corrective and preventive actions.
  • Utilize digital tools and data analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

Team Leadership

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated leadership experience in complex manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Experience delivering measurable business improvements through people leadership and integrated management systems.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of food science, food technology, product formulation, manufacturing processes, and processing equipment.
  • Experience within food manufacturing, preferably in high-risk or ready-to-eat product categories.
  • Extensive knowledge of Quality & Food Safety Management Systems, including:
    • ISO standards
    • FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000
    • HACCP
    • GMP
    • PRPs
  • Strong knowledge of food legislation, regulatory requirements, and food safety principles.
  • Experience applying risk-based approaches to quality and food safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Trained and experienced in auditing and project management.

Digital & Analytical Skills

  • Comfortable working with digital tools and quality systems, including:
    • Power BI
    • SAP
    • LIMS
    • Veeva
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, graphs, and statistical information to support decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality disciplines within food manufacturing or regulated industries (Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Quality Control, Regulatory Affairs), including food, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or biotechnology.
  • Minimum 6 years of people leadership or management experience with a proven track record of delivering tangible business results.
  • Practical experience in manufacturing and processing environments.
  • Strong training and coaching capabilities.
