• Develop and implement treatment protocols for cows and calves, including comprehensive calving follow-up procedures
• Design and oversee vaccination programs for both cows and calves to maintain optimal herd health
• Select appropriate sires to ensure desirable replacement traits and support genetic improvement goals
• Establish, monitor, and enforce all biosecurity measures to protect herd health and farm operations
• Enhance the technical expertise and capabilities of the veterinary team through continuous development
• Provide training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to veterinary staff and colleagues as needed
• Monitor and manage veterinary medicine inventory to ensure proper stock levels and usage planning
• Perform major surgical procedures when required to support animal health and welfare
• Utilize ultrasound technology for early pregnancy diagnosis and to diagnose health issues in cows

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
• Proven experience in herd health management and farm veterinary operations
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, mentor, and motivate a team
• Proficient user of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
