You will have the opportunity to support our Global Public Affairs team, a highly motivated and international team that is shaping public affairs at Danone in collaboration with colleagues across the world.
This apprenticeship will allow you to learn the fundamentals of the public affairs’ role within a multinational company. The Global Public Affairs team is part of the General Secretary function and is responsible for building Danone’s positions on public policy issues and engaging with a variety of external stakeholders to support sustainable growth.
YOUR MISSIONS AT DANONE:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Advocacy Platforms Director within the Global Public Affairs team, your role will Ensure the strategic coordination of public affairs priorities and teams, to reinforce Danone’s influence and serve the business agenda effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mapping key international events (G7, G20, COP, UNGA, INC-Plastics Treaty, etc.) and strategic assessment of Danone’s participation
- In coordination with topic leads within the company, drafting briefing notes for potential Danone speakers
- Preparing political analyses, briefing notes on specific topics and regular follow-up notes, contribution to COMEX briefing notes for institutional meetings
- In partnership with local public affairs teams: monitoring political elections, country briefing notes (local external environment, public affairs priorities), developing country fact sheets (sales figures, market specificities, local political and economic environment), regional/geopolitical briefing notes
- Mapping and analyzing key public affairs topics relevant to Danone’s business, and coordinating with internal teams to develop Danone’s positions and policies on material public policy issues for the business
- Supporting monthly network activities: preparation for monthly public affairs meetings; minutes of bilateral meetings and action tracking
- Supporting and contributing to the development of global public affairs strategy and vision
- Promoting the public affairs function to internal stakeholders
- Developing support tools: toolkits, success reports, management of the Teams channel and SharePoint
- Supporting the rollout of Danone’s stakeholder engagement tool and ensuring compliance with transparency requirements (HATVP)

About you
You should be an enthusiastic self-starter who is organized, not afraid to work autonomously, and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Candidates are expected to have a business and communication-oriented profile and a strong interest in the FMCG sector.
You have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong team spirit, and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Comfort liaising with senior leaders.
- The ability to work autonomously, with excellent organizational skills and reliability.
- Willingness to work in an international team.
- Creativity and an eye for detail.
- A keen interest in public policy and the political environment.
- The ability to challenge situations, act with resilience, and manage stakeholders effectively.
Compulsory requirements:
- You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Political Science, Business, Communications, or a relevant field.
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
- Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication.
