ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager - Operations to join us on a 12 months fixed-term contract. In this role, you will report to the Finance Director and support Finance Team, and Supply Chain function with COGS/FX management, logistics, other material costs, and non-quality costs/write-offs. You will also be the point of contact for system-related queries. Additionally, this role involves business partnering with the Supply Chain Director.
Your Responsibilities:
- COGS Management: Support finance team in managing COGS for ANZ, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, monthly reconciliation, inventory revaluation, and SAP pricing updates.
- Other Material Cost Management: Monitor and report monthly on other material costs, including customs duties, clearance, air/sea freights, packaging, rework, and align forecasts for air freights.
- Logistics Cost Management: Act as a Commercial Business Partner to the Supply Chain Director leading monthly logistics cost reviews, monitoring warehouse and distribution costs, ensuring timely accruals and goods receipting in SAP, reviewing and posting write-off accruals, and managing write-off risk.
- Forex/Hedges: Update hedge exposure, liaise with central Treasury, capture hedge impact in P&L, understand Forex impact, and highlight risks if any.
- Systems: Serve as the first point of contact for Tagetik and Power BI, perform operational module processing and statutory closure in Tagetik.
- Monthly Reviews: Monthly ANZ reviews with local finance and regional Operations team
- Ad hoc: Provide support to the Finance Director and Finance Team based on identified needs.
About you
You are a results-driven professional with a strong background in FMCG financial management, specialising in COGS, FX, and supply chain cost management. Your advanced SAP and Excel skills, along with your ability to collaborate across functions, drive exceptional results. You thrive in busy, dynamic environments, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality outcomes.
Ideally, you will have:
- 5-7 years of professional experience within FMCG, providing analytical support and P&L management, especially in Operations.
- Proven experience in business partnering with non-finance functions and expertise in Operations and Financial Systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables), SAP, and reporting systems such as TM1, COGNOS, or others, with a strong understanding of Operations, COGS, and FX Management.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Effective time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- A tertiary qualification in Finance/Commerce, with CPA/CA/CIMA required
