We are currently recruiting for a Finance Graduate position. This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, full-time role. This role is based in our Finance team at our Wexford factory in Ireland and reports to the Logistics & Industrial Cost Controller, within the Finance team.

 

Outline of the Role:

The Finance Graduate will be a member of the Wexford Finance team. They will support the team in controlling, reporting, forecasting and animating our Industrial & Logistics costs for the Wexford Supply point. Acting as business partner to the Industrial and Logistics team, the Finance Graduate will help to increase the understanding and awareness of costs, forecast accurately and identify and track cost saving / productivity opportunities.

 

Another key element of the role is to animate, control and help to improve the Wexford purchase order (PO) and goods receipting process, working with PO raisers in Wexford and the CBS Finance team.

 

This is a development role for someone looking to progress in a finance role / career.  There will be support, coaching and guidance offered to develop the suitable candidate and to take on the accountabilities detailed in the job description as their development allows.

 

 

More job duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for raising quarterly POs and goods receipting on a daily basis to help monitor and recognise our Industrial & Logistic costs
  • Preparation and review of month end accounts for all Industrial & Logistic costs cost lines in the P&L, including accrual journal preparation, monthly cost review vs forecast and animation and explanation to CBS Finance team and Local teams.
  • Provide efficient and accurate monthly Group reporting in required format.
  • Produce and circulate monthly opex reports to business partners with required level of interaction and animation to ensure understanding and to also provide challenge.
  • Input into monthly rolling forecast process for Industrial & Logistic costs with clear visibility and understanding of cost forecast, including risk and opps.
  • Continuously look to improve opex reporting, animation and efficiency of our processes.
  • Ensure (with Procurement) the integrity of the PO ProBuyer system and regular review of GRNI.
  • Report PO KPIs including Workflow status and drive actions with internal stakeholders to reduce, including regular training of Wexford PO raisers.
  • Ad hoc analysis and requests.

Deliverables and KPIs:

  • Production of timely, accurate and effective monthly opex reports for budget holders.
  • Comply to Group reporting timescales for reporting and analysis.
  • Continuously improve the financial data within the ERP system to improve the quality of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Weekly PO and Workflow Tracking reporting and animation.
  • Educate all Wexford colleagues to a higher level of financial awareness.

About you

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualification to degree level in a Finance or Accountancy discipline.
  • Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or looking to begin this journey.
  • Previous experience in Finance / Cost-Controlling an advantage.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines whilst maintaining high standards and accuracy.
  • Working in a multidisciplinary fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide accurate finance advice to stakeholders.
  • Team working and personal impact.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • “Can Do” attitude with a willingness to learn and continuous development mindset.
