ABOUT THE JOB

We are excited to offer an opportunity for the role of Process Lead at our New Zealand location. This position provides an excellent chance to manage your territory and champion equipment improvement, standardization, technical training, and problem-solving.

As a Process Lead, you will be a key member of the Line Trio in a Line Centric Organisation. You will be responsible for eliminating process losses on equipment or areas and driving standards and problem-solving.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday–Friday between 8.00am and 4:30pm.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Support Line Lead in following Dan-IWS principles.
  • Lead operator training and identify skill needs.
  • Prepare and deliver training on process/equipment changes.
  • Coach and upskill Operators, Shift Engineers, and the Line Trio.
  • Own Centreline and DDS results.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data systems for product/process parameters.
  • Identify and eliminate process losses.
  • Participate in daily direction-setting, report results, and request resources.
  • Own and standardize critical daily management systems.
  • Apply Dan-IWS tools to identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
  • Manage line settings, recipes, accesses, and user lists.
  • Support change management and update process control strategies.
  • Share and reapply learning across processes and plants.
  • Participate in planned stops and RCOs.
  • Collaborate with Quality team on incident reports.
  • Train team on quality hazards and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to Food Safety & ISO 22000 Quality standards.
  • Suggest continuous improvement in manufacturing procedures.
  • Support and lead iCare and HACCP in the plant.
  • Foster employee quality ownership and commitment to Danone culture.

About you

ABOUT YOU

This role requires a relevant higher-level education in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Dairy or food manufacturing industry experience with demonstrated technical aptitude and leadership capability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills associated with developing trusting relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to be self-directed with little supervision.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and make recommended solutions.
  • Flexibility to adjust schedule to support 24/7 Manufacturing Operation, may include working overtime, graveyard shift, and/or weekends as needed.
