As a Raw and Packaging Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing Danone Egypt’s sourcing strategy, ensuring a reliable, competitive, and sustainable supply across Raw and Packaging categories. The role drives value through strategic sourcing, strong supplier partnerships, and alignment with global procurement priorities.
About you
Responsibilities:
- Manage Egypt Raw and Packaging categories, sourcing local suppliers in line with Danone standards for quality, supply reliability, cost competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability, and developing 3‑year category and commodity strategies aligned with global procurement priorities
- Collaborate with Global Procurement, regional teams, internal buyers, R&I, and Operations to align commercial strategies, demand forecasts, innovation pipelines, and sourcing execution
- Identify, select, onboard, and integrate suppliers using Danone Selection Criteria, securing new raw materials through first industrial delivery with appropriate risk analysis, negotiation, and capacity monitoring
- Lead commercial activities including RFI/RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, contract management, dispute resolution, price discrepancy resolution, and day‑to‑day supplier communications as the main point of contact
- Drive savings and productivity initiatives by delivering documented savings from bids, negotiations, benchmarking, and innovative sourcing opportunities while maintaining quality standards
- Develop and leverage market intelligence through analysis of supply base, market trends, and contract terms to support fact‑based sourcing decisions
- Manage supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers, defining governance playbooks, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement
- Monitor monthly and annual material forecasts and manage category reporting covering budgets, spend, productivity, quality notifications, SPR, innovation, and local versus global sourcing mix
- Support Raw & Packaging process implementation, maintain sourcing data and strategies in relevant systems, participate in inventory activities, and lead internal and external benchmarking initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree holder
- Proven experience in Raw & Packaging sourcing, with a preference of 3+ years of buying experience
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly influence and collaborate across all organizational levels and diverse cultures
- Ability to balance short‑term and long‑term priorities, aligning business objectives with supplier partnerships
- Detail‑oriented and analytical, with a structured, fact‑based approach to decision‑making
