Procurement Director for Directs Materials

About the job

Reporting to the Vice-President of Procurement, we’re looking for a Procurement Director for Direct Materials to lead sourcing strategies supporting the Canadian Business Unit. This role involves working with multiple Operations, Quality, Research and Innovation, Supply chain and Finance stakeholders.

 

More specifically, you will be responsible to:

  • Ensure sufficient supply of quality milk and milk components for current products and innovations at the best possible costs;
  • Responsible for selling dairy by-products
  • Provides division visibility on market related insights which could lead to value creation or purpose related opportunities;
  • Gets involved in escalation of supply issues for raw and packaging materials
  • Connect with Global and North American buyers for Direct Material suppliers quotations
  • Supports Regenerative Agriculture topic
  • Accountable for material costs evolution for Canada and align inputs with finance

 

The annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000 CAD. The final salary offered will be determined by factors such as relevant experience and qualifications, internal equity and external market conditions.

About you

  • Bachelor and/or master degree in Science or related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Food Manufacturing Operations
  • Fluency in French and English mandatory
  • Expertise in negotiation, cost optimization and project management
  • Knowledge in the Canadian and Québec Dairy sourcing system
  • Strong leadership and autonomous/proactive mindset
