What I Am Proud of at Danone
What I am most proud of in my work is being able to provide products that I have confidence in. The R&I team receives feedback on products through various surveys, and it is always gratifying when a product I was involved in developing is rated as delicious.
Additionally, I take pride in the company's culture that offers numerous learning opportunities and promotes employee growth. I have participated in global training sessions in France and Spain, exchanging information with R&I members from other Danone countries. This experience has been incredibly helpful in my daily work.
The Strengths of Cross-Functional Teams
Compared to my previous job, I feel the strength of cross-functionality at Danone. I work on projects with teams from Marketing, Sales, and QFS, and whenever there are challenges, we consult and support each other.
Everyone is aligned with the company's mission, "One Planet, One Health," which allows us to collaborate without feeling any misalignment in our goals. This close communication with other departments is a key aspect of Danone's culture.
The Importance of Embracing the Unknown and Self-Improvement
I joined Danone without ever having used English in business. R&I is a multinational team, so it was challenging to communicate smoothly in English. On my own, I use the company training system to learn online and at work, my supervisor follow up with our foreign director about what I want to convey, and I try my best every day. Improving my English skills will give me more options for future career development, so I want to continue to get better.
Overwhelming Growth Rate
The most significant growth I have experienced since joining Danone is becoming consciously responsible for my own tasks. While some companies may progress through reliance on others, at Danone, there are many opportunities to set your own timelines and determine who you need to collaborate with, driving initiatives yourself.
You are encouraged to take on challenges, and there is a supportive environment to help you succeed. Rather than a top-down approach, projects are driven by the active involvement of the field. Utilizing this environment, I aim to grow further by asserting myself more. I believe Danone provides the perfect environment for this growth.
