Hello, I'm Yosuke!

I am manager of the Chubu-Hokuriku branch of the Regional Key Account, Sales Department. 

My mission is to propose Danone products in the Chubu-Hokuriku region, increase sales, and aim for category growth. I joined Danone in 2013, attracted by the company's involvement in health through food. The appeal of working in sales at Danone lies not only in offering delicious and popular products but also in delivering health to people. I saw potential in future business development and felt confident in proposing our products.

At Danone, the most rewarding aspect of being a sales professional is witnessing the expansion of our products. The rapid growth in our business scale over the past few years, particularly through our ventures into convenience stores and drugstores, has significantly contributed to our success. Being part of Danone's strengths in this expansion is incredibly fulfilling.

Danone fosters a spirit of challenge. We often find ourselves in situations where we are encouraged to "give it a try," which leads to significant personal growth for those who are motivated. Instead of thinking that someone else has the answers, each individual holds various solutions and constantly considers their strengths and what makes their approach superior. Working in an environment where we are never satisfied with the status quo and always seeking answers has helped me develop my own skills.

Turning Challenges into Opportunities

When considering the expansion of Danone Oikos' distribution channels, a major challenge was how to approach convenience stores that did not carry the product at the time. By explaining the advantages of Danone Oikos based on data and facts, we were able to present a compelling case for the product. This approach led to a successful follow-up for the entire category, resulting in the introduction of the product and the expansion of our distribution channels.

An Environment for Continuous Growth

I have developed the ability to proactively work towards solutions rather than immediately asking someone for answers. Of course, has a very supportive atmosphere so if there is something you don't understand, just ask. Nobody will make a face, they are open and will make time for you. It does not matter which team you belong to, the culture of Danone makes you feel at ease as your colleagues care about you.

 

Currently, I am involved in management and my number one focus is on how I can support my team members to take on more initiatives and grow more aggressively. I only got to where I am today with the support of many, many people, so I sincerely hope to be able to help my team members to find their way to fulfilling their career aspirations.
