Sobre el trabajo

As a Can Forming Technician, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production line running smoothly. Your main responsibility is to maintain and repair the machines and equipment used to form cans, making sure everything works at its best. You’ll help ensure that products are made on time and meet our high-quality standards. You’ll work closely with the production team, supporting daily manufacturing activities while always putting safety, quality, and teamwork first. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, solving problems, and being part of a supportive team environment.

 

This is a permanent full-time position. We work Monday - Friday - 42.25hours per week.

 

You Will:

  • Maintain and care for production equipment, ensuring it runs efficiently and reliably.
  • Follow Danone’s IWS (Integrated Work System) standards and best practices in all maintenance activities.
  • Take ownership of your machines, ensuring they perform at their best every day.
  • Complete daily production routines such as CL, CIL, SHO, and DH, and ensure all product control standards are met.
  • Identify and eliminate production losses to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Provide accurate updates and data to Shift Leads, Line Leads, and the Technical Manager to support daily reporting and shift handovers.
  • Manage spare parts usage, keeping records up to date when parts are used or removed from storage.
  • Respond quickly to equipment issues, acting with urgency to minimize downtime and product loss.
  • Use IWS tools like IPS and BDE to support problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Support your team by covering shifts or roles during staff absences or rotations.
  • Train and coach team members, including operators, technicians, and new staff, on tasks like SKU changeovers, can size adjustments, and equipment setup.

ABOUT YOU - - Mō Koe 

 

  • You hold at least a Trade Certificate, with an Advanced Trade qualification being a strong advantage. Ideally, you’ve also completed a Can Making apprenticeship, giving you a solid foundation in the industry.
  • You bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Can Making, with Can Seaming experience being highly desirable. You’re confident in your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly, often working independently and making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Your technical knowledge includes pneumatics, Soudronic welding machines, and PLC systems, and you also have a good working knowledge of electrical systems relevant to a manufacturing environment.
  • Your computer literate and comfortable using digital tools to support production and maintenance tasks. You can also create sketches or technical drawings for parts needed in plant improvements or repairs.
  • You understand how software and electrical systems integrate with mechanical operations in a production setting, allowing you to see the bigger picture and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
