We are seeking an experienced Water Processing Manager with strong expertise in membrane-based filtration technologies for water and milk applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in water physico-chemistry, combined with hands-on experience in RO, UF, MF systems, preferably gained at membrane suppliers (e.g., Dupont, Suez, Hydranautics, Koch, Pentair, Alfa Laval, Toray,…), system integrators (e.g., ICE, SPX, GEA, BWT, Steap Stailor,…), or within the Food & Beverage industry (e.g., Lactalis, Arla Foods, Danone, Nestlé, Fonterra, Unilever, Sodiaal). Knowledge of ceramic filtration (e.g., Pall, Saint-Gobain) and hygienic design principles is highly valued. Experience in water reduction projects using the 4R strategy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Reclaim) is a strong plus. Exposure to process development and R&I (Research & Innovation) activities is considered a nice-to-have.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, operation, troubleshooting and optimization of technologies using membranes for water filtration systems (RO, UF, MF).
• Apply water analytical knowledge (physico-chemistry and microbiology) to monitor process efficiency and quality compliance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and integrators to implement advanced filtration technologies.
• Ensure compliance with hygienic design standards and food safety regulations.
• Support sustainability initiatives, including water reduction projects (4R strategy).
• Contribute to process development and innovation projects when applicable.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Communicate effectively in English with internal teams and external partners.

Required Competencies

• Membrane technologies (RO, UF, MF) for water and milk filtration. Ceramic filtration is a plus
• Water physico-chemistry
• Hygienic design principles
• Data interpretation
• Communication skills to share knowledge and train people
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead projects and apply continuous improvement methodologies

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered : 

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in membrane filtration technologies.
• Past experience with membrane suppliers, system integrators, or Food & Beverage companies.
• Familiarity with water quality and food safety standards.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience in process development and R&I projects.
• Familiarity with 4R water reduction strategies applied in food industry.
