In this position, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement of oceanfreight services to ensure cost-effective and efficient transportation solutions meeting Danone’s objectives.

 

Your main responsibilities will focus on:  

 

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for oceanfreight services to meet the company’s End to End and cost objectives.

- Manage and coordinate a control tower with a third-party provider to oversee oceanfreight operations, ensuring seamless execution and communication.

- Conduct tenders for oceanfreight services: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with oceanfreight carriers and service providers to secure competitive rates and service agreements.

- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and adapt procurement strategies accordingly.

- Maintain and manage supplier relationships, ensuring high levels of service performance and addressing any issues or disputes.

- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to oceanfreight procurement, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.  

 

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - 5 years of professional experience with proven experience in oceanfreight procurement or a similar role within the logistics industry.

- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

- In-depth knowledge of the oceanfreight industry, including carrier services, market trends, and regulations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, procurement, CLM & P2P software.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
