What is your role and what do you do here at Danone?
I started in Danone as a Marketing Intern for ProViva and Activia. Three months later I was offered a promotion as Junior Brand Manager for these brands. My role implied cross-functional collaboration with local and global teams in Nordics and Baltics. I worked with multiple projects simultaneously, such as website management, social media management, campaign asset creation, packaging design, merch creation, strategy development, business case and PR event planning.
What are you studying, and how does it connect to your tasks in your internship?
Bachelors program in Market Communication and the internship really provided hands-on experience in the FMCG industry. It is one thing to read about strategies, concepts and product development, however it’s a totally different thing to actually apply knowledge from your studies before you’ve graduated. Since my role implied various projects, I was able to work with all parts of marketing, high and low, rather than focusing on a single area which goes hand in hand with my multifaceted program.

What are you studying, and how does it connect to your tasks in your internship?
I’m from Brazil and we are obsessed with Danone there. When I was young, I used to have one Danonino every morning. I also used to put it in the freezer with a spoon and had it as a popsicle. Nevertheless, what has been attractive to me as a professional was the mission for bringing health to people through food. I deeply believe in health for all, and so does Danone. Therefore, it was a combination of being a fan both personally and professionally of the brand.
