ABOUT THE ROLE

Danone is seeking a commercially minded and analytically driven Business Analytics Manager to join our Strategic Insights & Analytics team based in Sydney.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Insights & Analytics (SIA) and Planning, this newly created role will play a critical part in shaping decision-making across our Early Life Nutrition, Healthcare Nutrition, and Dairy businesses.

You will act as the custodian of Danone's key data assets, leading data governance, harmonisation, and performance reporting across multiple data sources. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category, and Channel teams, you will translate complex data into actionable business insights, enabling faster and better commercial decisions.

This is a highly visible role with significant exposure to senior leaders across the business and offers a unique opportunity to influence strategy, embed an insight-led culture, and help accelerate Danone's growth agenda.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Analytics & Performance Insights

• Lead the delivery of market share, category, and business performance reporting across key business forums including IBP, QBRs, AOP, Innovation projects, and leadership reviews
• Translate complex data into actionable commercial insights and recommendations
• Identify growth opportunities, risks, and performance drivers across categories, customers, and channels
• Develop executive-level reporting and dashboards that support strategic decision-making

Data Governance & Enterprise Analytics

• Own and govern Danone's key data assets including Circana, Quantium, IQVIA, brand tracking, and retailer data sources
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across the organisation
• Lead vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and budget management for analytics and data partnerships
• Establish governance frameworks and best-practice ways of working across analytics platforms

Forecasting & Strategic Planning

• Develop and maintain category, market share, and business performance forecasting models
• Support annual planning, target setting, and commercial decision-making through forward-looking analytics
• Provide objective, data-led recommendations to inform strategic priorities and investment decisions

Data Harmonisation & Automation

• Drive the development of a single source of truth through the integration and harmonisation of multiple data sources
• Improve reporting efficiency through automation and scalable analytics solutions
• Champion the adoption of self-service analytics tools and reporting capabilities across the business

Cross-Functional Leadership & Capability Building

• Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Category, and Channel teams to ensure insights are translated into action
• Influence senior stakeholders through compelling storytelling and impactful recommendations
• Build analytics capability across the organisation and champion a data-driven decision-making culture
• Support teams in leveraging data and insights to improve commercial outcomes

ABOUT YOU

You are a strategic thinker who combines strong analytical capability with commercial acumen and exceptional stakeholder management skills. You enjoy solving complex business problems, influencing senior leaders, and turning data into meaningful actions that drive growth.

Ideally, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline
• Significant experience in business analytics, market insights, category analytics, retail measurement, consulting, or commercial analytics roles
• Strong experience working with syndicated data sources such as Circana, NielsenIQ, IQVIA, Quantium, or similar platforms
• Expertise in performance reporting, market share analysis, forecasting, and business planning
• Advanced analytical and data visualisation skills, including Power BI, Excel, and presentation tools
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex findings in a simple, compelling way
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to connect analytics with business outcomes
• Experience within agency environments, FMCG, healthcare, retail, consumer goods, consulting, research will be highly regarded. However, we are also open to candidates from other industries who bring strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and experience translating data into actionable business insights.
