About the job

During this internship you will be part of our Innovation Design and Development Center for Powders, based in Utrecht, focusing on Specialized Nutrition. This role will focus on product development of milk formulae produced by our European factories. This internship project consists of assessing the physicochemical, sensorial, processing and nutritional impact in product level from potential changes in protein sources

Overall, you will gain an in-depth understanding of our recipe portfolio and the core principles of recipe design. You will be in close collaboration with factories, interact with different departments and gain experience in a multicultural company responsible for providing products to consumers globally.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  1. Understand the impact of different protein sources in process and product:
  • Ensure a correct database for dairy ingredients.
  • Performing theoretical nutritional assessments in our recipes using different protein matrixes.
  • Designing new recipes using our internal software.
  • Performing pilot trials.
  • Performing lab scale analysis for physicochemical properties.

  1. Implement the learnings into practical solutions by:
  • Preparing a detailed report with your outcome.
  • Presenting and communicating the findings to a cross-functional community in order to be applied on industrial scale.

You will be part of the Productivity team and you will be closely supervised by Rafaela Raymundo, Product Design & Development Manager. The position involves a lot of cross-functional work, especially with C&P, PAT and communication with higher management.
