As a Quality Engineer you will actively contribute to the Specialized Nutrition quality ambition to deliver products of consistent, specified quality and uncompromising safety.
You will have an eye for detail and understanding systems in order to trend and monitor factory standards. Identify re-occurring issues and help to drive continuous improvement.

Maintaining and improving quality standards using principles of lean manufacturing techniques / methodologies (e.g., Dan IWS).

To be fully aware of company procedures relating to Fire Evacuation, Accident Reporting, and Food Safety. To ensure all staff behave in a safe and responsible manner within the area of responsibility.
Administer NCMR disposition of non-conforming materials.
Initiation of SDN procedure for failed batches/materials.
Management of Veeva for PNCs and SQN modules.
Ensure all products conform to or exceed the agreed product specifications prior to release.
Provide relevant information into the rework process.
Devise risk assessments to aid in the assessment of batch release.
Regular trending of data to identify issues.
Driving Improvements
Working collaboratively with business units to drive and deliver sustainable results with effective corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues.
Reduction in CARs which in turn improves RFT and CONQ.
Strive for continuous improvements.
Lead QBOS system for Factory Standards team.
Own minimum one Quality System for site.
Internal Audits
Member of the internal audit team. Address any compliance issues and deliver sustainable corrective actions.
Carry out routine Factory Standards Audits (GMP), inclusive of report writing and follow up of action closure in a timely manner.
Provide support to the business units to help drive continuous improvement and standards as part of No-Fly Zone by being present on the shop floor.
Trend information and identify top areas for improvement.
External Audits
Provide support during external audits such as ISO, FDA, SAMR, FSI.
Ensure the factory is visually ready to host the audit.
Prepare and present data as required for individual led programme (e.g., Pest Management, Environmental Management Plan, NCR, GMP etc.)
Provide support to the business in closing out any Non-Conformances.
Shop Floor Proximity
50% of working week are present on the shop floor in line with IWS requirements
Gain an in-depth understanding of the process flow and equipment in line with site HACCP plan.
Building working relationships with operators and shift leaders
Ensuring compliance and adherence to SOPs
Sharing knowledge and awareness to operators to drive factory standards
Pest Control
Point of contact for pest control provider.
Coordination of all recommendations with internal stakeholders and ensure action completion.
Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Monthly review meetings with account manager to review established KPIs.
Environmental Management Programme
Ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Monthly / Quarterly review meetings with key stakeholders to improve the system and ensure action completion.
Prepare monthly presentation required for SIM 5.
Data entry for central KPI files in timely manner.

Educated to degree level or industry experienced/ Professional qualifications
Experience of working in a Quality environment essential
Significant work experience in leading teams in pharma or FMCG environment
