At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.   We are currently looking to hire a QFS Compliance Supervisor based in Chatsworth!   

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:  

 

This high visibility position is responsible for managing and coordinating the regulatory and quality compliance activities at our manufacturing facility in Chatsworth.  This includes the activities associated with FSSC22000, the Food Safety Modernization Act, QMS, Non-GMO, Organic and Kosher programs at the facility.  This position will assist the Quality Assurance Manager with all compliance related activities at the facility and function to facilitate all compliance related activities. In this role you should always follow necessary safety practices and promote working in a safe environment.   

 

This role will have one direct report, Quality Assurance Systems Specialist.  

 

  • You will be responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring. 
  • You will coordinate all systems, related to Safe Quality Food certification; Maintains facility good standing. 
  • You will develop and deliver quality and food safety training. 
  • You will lead internal audits; and coordinate corrective action programs for audits. 
  • You will assist the QA Manager with external audits and inspections. 
  • You will serve as a Food Safety team leader and Danone FSI and FSSC22000 SME ensuring facility compliance. 
  • You will lead the annual Management Review of the QMS at the facility. 
  • You will manage and maintain compliance programs including Non-GMO, Organic, Kosher  
  • You will maintain and review all food safety-related recording forms. 
  • You will ensure that equipment is calibrated, maintained, and functioning properly.   
  • You will maintain records required under FSMA/LACF/SQF/FSSC22000 and other 3rd party audits and ensure all records are complete, accurate, legible, and in conformance to standard. 
  • You will coordinate audit activities with regulatory, 3rd party, corporate. 
  • You will develop, implement, verify and update the Quality System and Document Control System. Ensure that activities regarding HACCP/FSHCP, GMPS, GLPs and safety are performed and documented properly.  
  • Hygienic Zoning SME and pest control program management Maintain Regulatory Compliance. Stay current with all key regulatory and certifying agency guidelines. Work with Regulatory Personnel, Third Party Inspector during the audit. Follow-up on corrective actions related to issues found during inspections (Corporate QA, LACF, CDFA, QAIs, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Military, Kosher, SQF and FSSC 22000 Certification audit). 
  • You will work with Plant Management in dealing with Quality issues or problems and submit necessary reports when applicable 
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned by management.

The base compensation range for this position is $85,000- $105,000.00 commensurate with experience. About you

About you: 

 

  •  You have a bachelors degree in BS/BA Food Science or related field. 
  • You have 3+ years combined experience with food or ingredients and manufacturing  
  • You have a PCQI Certification 
  • You have knowledge of FSMA  
  • You have knowledge of HACCP Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. 
  • Preferred: SQF Practitioner Certification, FSSC22000 Certification (preferred) 
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • You stay current with key regulatory and certifying agency guidelines and regulations. 
  • You are team oriented 
  • You have organization and Analytical Skills 
  • You have the ability to perform complex data analysis 
  • You have statistical analysis knowledge  
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • You can work independently 
  • You have excellent record keeping / documentation skills 
  • You must be capable of managing business-critical functions in a calm and systematic fashion 
  • You have high proficiency with personal computers, Microsoft Office tools, laboratory instrumentation, and lab equipment. Familiar with Quality Solutions Software and LIMS is a plus 
  • You have the ability to travel if necessary
