We have an exciting new opportunity for a Quality Improvement Manager to join our talented and dynamic Quality and Food Safety team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering Danone’s Quality and Food Safety goals, focusing on identifying improvement opportunities and championing consumer-centric thinking.

You will report to the Quality Food Safety Manager, ensuring a deep understanding and adherence to all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures. You will stay updated with current Food Safety & Quality regulatory and certification requirements and manage process and ingredient validation for the site. Your focus will be on achieving zero defect processes, reducing scrap, and enhancing the Quality & Food Safety of the product.

You will:

  • Contribute to the achievement of a zero-harm workplace through active participation in and support of the company’s WISE Health & Safety program
  • Drive process and equipment validations as per regulatory and company standards requirements
  • Lead food safety improvements, quality improvements, and certification-focused projects
  • Drive standardization by implementing a systematic approach to enhance business practices and performance through analysis and capability studies, identifying key improvement opportunities.
  • Create/review validation protocols, carry out risk assessments, and assist in food safety reviews/audits
  • Track quality root cause analysis open actions and ensure the effectiveness with proper close out to prevent reoccurrence
  • Support site-wide efforts to conformity with relevant Food Safety & Quality standards
  • Work collaboratively and provide technical support to QFS and other teams

About you

You are a dynamic, proactive, and assertive Quality professional with a keen eye for process optimization. Your substantial experience in quality improvement within a manufacturing environment, coupled with your ability to engage stakeholders effectively, makes you stand out. Your collaborative approach, combined with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will be highly valued in this role. You’re able to pick up subtle trends & connect them to a wider Quality or Food Safety impact. You excel in taking ownership and responsibility, demonstrating speed, agility, and pragmatism in your actions.

To be successful, you will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering/Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science or similar
  • Proven QA and Validation experience in Infant Formula/Dairy/Food or other FMCG manufacturing
  • Good Understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000 standards, GHP & GMP, GB standards MPI & FSANZ compliance requirements is desired
  • Experience in data analysis, and problem-solving methodologies is preferred
  • Prior experience in auditing will be preferred but not necessary
  • Lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma experience are desired but not necessary
