You will lead the SEA Tax Compliance Team based in Kuala Lumpur, serving the Japan, Oceania, and SEA markets. Your responsibilities include preparing tax compliance documents, handling both internal and external tax reporting, and managing transfer pricing (TP) related matters. Additionally, you will support tax projects and tax planning within the zone, with a primary focus on the SEA market.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Tax Compliance and Reporting

• Prepare tax computations as required to file for tax payments in compliance with local tax regulations
• Prepare both direct and indirect tax returns and ensure they are lodged before statutory due dates
• Prepare and finalize annual statutory and tax disclosures with local tax teams
• Execute internal tax reporting, forecast and analysis when applicable

Tax Planning and Projects

• Provide the local tax teams to tax related advisory
• Support the local tax teams on tax planning projects and tax risks management
• Support and coordinate in cross-function projects in zone and Asia markets

Transfer Pricing (TP) Reporting and Planning

• Assist local tax teams on routine TP documentation
• Support the TP review based on the global schedule
• Support ad-hoc TP / benchmark studies

Relationship with Authorities

• Support in dealing with tax audit and tax defense

Internal Control / Learning

• Prepare the tax SOPs to document the work processes
• Keep updated internal control procedures and provide documents for Danone Internal Control requirements (Dango)
• Provide agreed tax trainings in Danone

• Bachelor or above degree, preferably with finance, accounting tax, law majors
• At least 7-years experience in dedicated tax area
• Big 4 corporate tax department experience is a must, CPA qualification
• Good command of English in writing and speaking
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical skill and communication skills dealing with both external and internal parties
• Attention to details
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Self-motivated with drive, passion and high integrity
