We are offering a unique and exciting opportunity for a Head of Sales to lead our Convenience channels across our Ireland business unit.


Role Purpose:

As a pivotal member of the Sales leadership team, the Head of Sales for Convenience Channels will work closely with the Ireland Country Director to drive growth across the Danone portfolio in both Republic and Northern Ireland, encompassing Musgrave, convenience, and away from home strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Channel Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the strategic development for each channel over a 2–3-year horizon, including Musgrave, Convenience, and OOH (Out of home), with a strong emphasis on long-term growth strategies.
  • Drive the health and sustainability agenda for Danone with tangible business outcomes.
  • Identify new profitable, growth spaces in channel and create initiatives to unlock them.

Senior Customer Engagement

  • Lead customer partnerships at the director level to establish the company as the go-to partner for growth, health, and sustainability

Channel Contribution

  • Successfully deliver annual net sales and channel % margin targets to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly net sales for the channel

Team Engagement

  • Lead and develop a team with varied levels of experience to deliver the overall customer plans in a motivating and inspiring manner, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Creating a culture of  trust and motivation and an accountability mindset within the team to deliver the plans and be at their best
  • Development of the team through coaching for growth, building capabilities and fostering wellbeing
  • Delivery management through setting inspiring plans for activities and desired outcomes, engages the team on the ‘why’ of each project and coaching on the day-to-day challenges

  • Ability to deliver through third-party sales channels

 

Functional capabilities

  • Record of long-term supply and demand-led Joint Business Planning (JBP) over a 2-3 year horizon
  • Excels in selling an inspiring vision and can coach others in this skill
  • Deep understanding of how best to use questioning and listening to gain the right insight
  • Demonstrates advanced negotiation techniques and the ability to identify the negotiation styles of key contacts
  • Excellent commercial acumen

The salary bracket for this role is: €100,000-€120,000 plus a competitive benefits package including car allowance, pension and many other benefits to suit your personal preferences.
