About the job

1. Public Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement
   - Identify, assess, and manage public policy risks and opportunities impacting the business.
   - Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies with government agencies, NGOs, industry associations, scientific leaders, and community partners.
   - Represent Danone in key industry forums and regulatory dialogues, ensuring alignment with the company’s global “One Voice” advocacy approach.
   - Support the Country Head and CODI team on public affairs positioning and engagement.
   
   2. Sustainability & Community Impact
   - Lead the design and implementation of sustainability initiatives aligned with national priorities and community needs.
   - Manage projects addressing social, health, and environmental challenges to deliver measurable community impact.
   - Partner with cross-functional teams, NGOs, and government institutions to scale local programs and strengthen Danone’s positive influence.
   
   3. Legal Advisory & Risk Management
   - Analyze legal risks and opportunities related to Cambodia and Myanmar laws, including: Company law, competition, anti‑corruption, data protection, food law, IP, land/property, environmental regulations, and other relevant areas.
   - Provide strategic legal guidance to support business continuity and growth.
   - Conduct legal watch to ensure ongoing awareness of new laws, trends, and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
   
   4. Compliance & Internal Governance
   - Implement Danone’s policies and guidelines to minimize legal and compliance risks.
   - Identify compliance vulnerabilities and lead corrective action plans.
   - Manage legal processes and systems, including contract management, compliance approvals, and corporate reporting.
   - Oversee company secretarial matters and ensure strong adherence to local corporate law and internal governance standards.
   
   5. Internal Collaboration & Reporting
   - Work closely with internal audit, internal control, risk management, and process improvement teams to strengthen organizational governance.
   - Coordinate bi‑yearly corporate and litigation reports submitted to headquarters.
   - Ensure transparency and consistent communication across the business regarding legal, public affairs, and sustainability initiatives.

•  5 -7 years’ experience in Public Affairs, Government Relations, CSR, or Sustainability (FMCG preferred).
• Strong network and proven engagement with Cambodia & SEA government bodies (MOH, MOT, MOF, Halal agencies), regulators, NGOs, and industry associations.
• Skilled in stakeholder mapping, policy advocacy, and external influence strategies.
• Strong legal & compliance knowledge, especially Cambodian law (Myanmar law is a plus); able to translate risks into practical business guidance.
• Experience designing and delivering community development, environmental sustainability, and social‑impact programs.
• Familiar with B‑Corp and other sustainability certification/assessment frameworks.
• Strong governance, internal control, and compliance process management.
• Track record in leading high‑impact, cross‑functional projects and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.
• Strategic, influential, ethical leader with strong communication, negotiation, and risk‑anticipation skills.
• Able to balance long‑term strategic vision with day‑to‑day execution.
