About the job

This is Permanent Position, working Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, 40 hours per week.

 

We are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and energetic professional within our talented Quality team in Auckland. As a Supplier Quality Coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for New Zealand Suppliers’ quality maintenance and coordination and support ensuring quality at co-manufacturers. You will drive the closure of raw material/packaging material non-conformances with efficient & effective preventative actions.

 Reporting to Quality in Design & Supplier Quality Manager, you will work collaboratively with suppliers to develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve our supplier’s and 3 PM’s ways of working to ensure ongoing growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Maintain Supplier Quality Key Performance Indicators of New Zealand based raw material, packaging, and 3 PM, suppliers
  • Analyse performance, identify areas for improvement, coordinate effective corrective and preventative actions
  • Point of contact for internal stakeholders in New Zealand and other Danone locations with respect to suppliers and provide regular communication and reports when required
  • Assist in the on-site investigation/root cause analysis of complaints, incidents, and non-conformities arising from Ingredients/Packs/Finished Goods supplied
  • Support the planning, organization, execution, and reporting of onsite Quality, Food & Safety audits & technical visits of New Zealand based suppliers
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation related to Supplier quality and performance

About you

You are a people person with an ability to work collaboratively with diverse cross-functional stakeholders, build relations and effectively coordinate the tasks to support the business. Your prior experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment will help you succeed in this role. Your agility and ability to work with shifting priorities, attention to detail, empathy, sound influencing skills, and persistence to see a task through will be highly beneficial in the role.

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry/Microbiology/Food Science or any Science
  • Proven experience in Supplier Quality in food manufacturing / FMCG environment
  • Understanding of GMP, GHP, and HACCP is highly desired
  • Sound IT skills with proficiency or Advanced Excel skills
  • Prior experience in Auditing is preferred
  • Agile mindset with an ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to several times a month with occasional overnight travel
