I make an impact by telling stories that matter, like highlighting the issue of malnutrition, which often goes unnoticed, or promoting our move to British-sourced oats for some of our Alpro products.
It’s not just about sharing what Danone is doing, it’s about sparking wider conversations about health and sustainability. When something we care about lands in the press and resonates with others, that’s when I know it’s made a difference.
I feel valued as a person, not just for the work I do.
I’m trusted to manage my time, shifting hours or taking breaks when needed, as long as the work gets done. That trust and understanding makes me feel respected and valued.
Innovation and entrepreneurship are part of how we work. We encourage stepping beyond job roles, through projects, volunteering, joining Employee Network groups (ENGs) or becoming a wellbeing champion. Volunteering during work time is valued and encouraged.
I’m really proud to be part of the Steering Committee for one of our ENGs, which are growing quickly! It gives me the opportunity to bring fresh ideas to work to help make a real impact on our culture at Danone. Danone truly supports you to get involved and make a difference.
You’re supported to learn beyond your role and grow your career.
Growth here is about learning across teams and exploring new opportunities.
One of my best moments was when I identified an opportunity to raise awareness about a community initiative we support, in national media. It was great to be able to shape the story, see it come to life and shine a light on an organisation that makes a positive impact on local communities.
We’re actively encouraged to prioritise our development and look for ways that we can learn new skills. Danone’s culture also supports “squiggly careers,” letting you change paths without leaving.
