Seize the opportunity to excel as our Demand and Customer Supply Chain Manager, based in vibrant Sydney. This is a 15-month parental leave cover where you can take the lead in shaping supply chain success, drive demand planning, and customer supply chain execution at the forefront of our dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, orchestrating every aspect of demand planning, key project management, and flawless supply chain execution. Achieve outstanding results by collaborating strategically with customers and cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the Head of Planning and IBP, you’ll own the Demand cycle within our monthly IBP process. Lead Demand Review sessions, shape robust business assumptions, and spotlight crucial risks and opportunities, demonstrating your leadership and influencing key decisions across the business.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Lead demand planning and customer supply chain excellence, optimising workflow and outcomes.
  • Manage and validate the rolling 18-month demand plan, ensuring category and channel assumptions are robust.
  • Champion demand discipline by aligning and training teams across Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Own the monthly Demand Review, driving high-quality inputs, decisive actions, and effective follow-up.
  • Maximise customer and business opportunities by balancing cost, service, and revenue with strategic influence.
  • Lead collaborative customer supply chain efforts, proactively resolving issues and maintaining clear communication.
  • Set and monitor key KPIs, driving improvements in forecast accuracy, bias, and case fill rates.
  • Analyse and enhance distribution networks and formats to improve cost efficiency and service delivery.
  • Inspire leadership and drive results through team development and cross-functional engagement.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop a team of demand planners, embedding best practice behaviours and business-wide culture.
  • Foster continuous improvement within the IBP process, driving digital innovation.
  • Champion decision-making and escalation, ensuring demand plan sign-off and robust recommendations for IBP.
  • Take ownership of customer supply decisions and communications, managing escalations with professionalism.

About you

You bring a wealth of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, and project leadership, ideally from a fast-paced FMCG or similar sector. Your collaborative spirit and excellent interpersonal skills make you a natural at working with cross-functional teams and engaging key stakeholders to achieve outstanding results. You have a knack for motivating and guiding teams, leading process improvements, and delivering spot-on forecasts and supply chain solutions. Proactive, analytical, and adaptable, you thrive on innovation and are always eager to grow and develop professionally.

 

Ideally, you will have:

  • Degree in Supply Chain/Business/Commerce or related discipline
  • Relevant supply chain qualifications (APICS or similar)
  • Demonstrate advanced Excel skills and proficiency in analytics and visualisation tools (such as Power BI).
  • Be adept with planning and ERP systems commonly used in the industry (e.g., SAP, demand planning/IBP tools).
  • Bring a minimum of five years’ relevant experience, ideally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on shelf life.
  • Showcase a strong track record with key retailers, proven team management, and leadership skills.
  • Possess deep knowledge of best practice demand planning, Integrated Business Planning processes, and end-to-end supply chain understanding.
