Manufacturing Technical Process Lead (12 Months FTC)

About the job

Key objective of the role is to eliminate process losses on equipment or areas, by leading process improvements, and drive standards and problem solving with Line shift Leads and Equipment Owners.

 

Safety

  • Work with the manufacturing team to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Apply a strict adherence to Danone safety practices and immediately act on any non-conformances.

Quality

  • Drive RFT improvement capabilities through timely reporting, investigation, and follow-up on shift quality incidents.
  • Ensure line compliance to applicable quality standards to ensure the highest quality products are being supplied to our consumers.
  • Verify all line paperwork is filled out correctly for compliance to RMP and positive release of SFG through batch file sign-off (including verification of CCP’s and oPRP’s)

Production

  • To identify, prioritize and eliminate process losses.
  • To build the process capability & control.
  • To provide feedback to design and lead smart standardization deployment.
  • To define the equipment/process standards.
  • To support the change management & validation processes.
  • To lead and build the capability of process failures technical troubleshooting.
  • To lead process benchmarking & reapplication using (SOP and OPL).
  • Collaborate with Line Lead ,Line Shift Lead and Equipment Owner’s to develop new standards.

Delivery

  • Work closely with Line Shift Lead & Equipment Owners to ensure the production schedule is followed and planned stoppages are executed efficiently.
  • Ensuring line operation at an efficient level.

Motivation

  • Actively train Equipment Owners and support development of training material and content to ensure it is relevant and up to-date.
  • Work in conjunction with Line Shift Leader to detect and close training gaps for Equipment Owners.

Environment

  • Monitor and reduce losses to reduce the environmental impact for the manufacturing process.

Leadership

  • Work with Line Shift Leader to improve the team performance, identifying best Equipment Owners for each position and developing them.

About you

Safety

  • Ability to work with the Line Leader and support the safety program (WISE) in the factory environment through:
  1. Timely reporting and follow-up of incidents or near misses
  2. Collecting, analysing and reporting potential accidents (NLTI)
  3. Ensuring Health and Safety Representatives are trained and actively communicating/working with the shift team
  4. Effective communication of safety contacts, updates, improvements, etc.
  • Lead on actions to correct hazards or conditions that may endanger health and safety

Quality

  • Ability to complete quality incident reporting for the shift, with incidents reported and investigated for safe release of product.
  • To work closely with the Quality team on follow-up and close-out of incident reports where further information or investigation is required.
  • Ability to train the team on quality hazards in the factory and oPRP/CCP procedures, including final sign-off/endorsement. 

Training

  • Ability to support the Line Shift Leader, through leading Equipment Owner trainings and identifying skill needs to continuously improve the team.
  • Ability to prepare and give training on process/equipment changes.
  • Willingness to develop him/ herself through participating in corporate and external training.

Production activities

  • Ability to design, implement and maintain systems to collect and analyze data for critical product and process parameters.
  • Ability to use this data to identify process losses.
  • Work with line management to prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Eliminate or reduce (prioritized) losses through making process or work system changes using the relevant Daily Management System (IPS, UPS, WPI, etc)
  • Participate in the daily direction-setting process – report results, flag issues and request resources and taking ownership of relevant DMS in DDS.
  • Own critical daily management systems, e.g. CL,CIL, Defect handling, IPS,BDE (run-to-target) and ensuring system is applied effectively in the area.
  • Use Reliability Engineering tools to drive center-lining and loss elimination.
  • Standardize equipment and work processes (using OPL and SOP). Support the change management system for a designated process.
  • Update process control strategies and operating procedures as changes occur.
  • Share and reapply learning across processes, modules and plants.
  • Take part on Planned Stops, Review Line BDs and PM Cards, Review Line Defect List, Review open defects list and Assign who will fix what defect in line with Maintenance team.
  • Contribute to Unplanned Downtime Loss Elimination for Process Failure through support and inputs to CIL/CL/IPS/UPS and WPI and Ownership of Defect Handling System
  • Be part of PM Planning meeting as representative and coordinator for the process
  • Review production schedule. Look for PDT optimization
  • Standardize and improve Changeover/Routine Activity of process.

Teamwork

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all the teams to ensure they are aware of improvement programs ahead.
