Role Purpose:

To deliver profitable growth and excellent execution within one of our largest and most strategic customer in Grocery, Asda.  Fully responsible for the management and growth of our essential dairy products (yogurts) within this customer
 

Key Activities:

 

Customer Profitability

  • Responsible for Net Sales, investment and customer profitability, driving profitable growth for both Danone and Asda on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis
  • Creating and executing joint plans that deliver on our shared growth ambitions
  • Driving the right mix of brands/ skus to maximise growth and profit

Customer Strategies

  • Ensuring the customer strategy is aligned to the overall Grocery strategy, focusing on shared priorities of health and sustainability and driving initiatives to deliver on these
  • Working closely with wider Asda team, Category, Market Strategy and PRGM to identify any growth opportunities and delivering excellent execution in store
  • Foresee potential risks through cross functional teamwork, finding solutions to mitigate before they arise

Promotional & Price Planning

  • Overseeing the promotional and pricing plans, ensuring these are aligned internally
  • Review return on investment regularly internally and externally, tweaking the plans where relevant  

Customer Engagement

  • Create and develop respected relationships with key customer contacts, across Asda functions
  • Ensure we are the ‘supplier of choice’ by understanding best in class ways of working and consistently delivering against this

Team Engagement & Development

  • Being an active member of the customer and overall Grocery & Discounter team
  • Developing junior members of the team through delivery management by setting the plans for desired outcomes, engages the team on the ‘why’ of each project and coaching on the day-to-day challenges

  • Manages a broad network internally and externally to support delivery
 

Functional capabilities

  • Ability to deliver a demand led JBP
  • Strong questioning and listening skills
  • Able to demonstrate experience of well-prepared negotiations including scenario planning 
  • Strong commercial acumen

Salary Bracket: £65k - £75k + car allowance
