This position falls under the V.I.E. scheme. To be eligible, you must be a citizen of an EU country and be under 29 years old. For more information about the V.I.E. program, please visit the Business France website.
As part of this role, you will contribute to the development of the evian business within the HORECA channel across Shanghai and East China. You will conduct regular market visits to strengthen relationships with key accounts, support distributors in prospecting new customers, and continuously gather and update market intelligence. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and execution of the HORECA growth strategy across Shanghai and East China.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and business partners.
- Conducting regular market visits to identify new business opportunities and monitor market trends.
- Supporting distributors in prospecting and acquiring new customers.
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting market intelligence, competitor activities, and consumer insights.
- Tracking business performance and providing recommendations to support growth initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with internal sales, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure the successful execution of business development plans.
About you
We are looking for someone with the following profile:
Education & Technical Skills
• Have gained relevant experience in the FMCG industry through internships, academic projects, or professional experience.
• Have lived in China for at least one year or possess a strong understanding of Chinese culture (applicants must not currently be living or working in China)
Abilities:
- Action- and result-oriented: pragmatic, flexible, fast learner and entrepreneurial mind set
- Strong organizational skills: able to prepare, present, and follow up on plans; ability to anticipate
- Open-minded attitude, good listener, self-motivated
- Good communication & influencing skills
- Ability to easily adapt and leverage a truly international and multi-cultural environment to effectively engage people
- Able to work in a team and at a distance, with autonomy
- You do not hesitate to make suggestions and ask questions
Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills
- Business acumen
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, Essbase, SAP, PowerPoint
- Be able to communicate in Chinese Mandarin
Are you eligible for a V.I.E?
V.I.E is a Business France device allowing Europeans to work internationally for a designated company.
- You must be aged 18 to 28
- You must have completed national service obligation.
- You must be a citizen of the European Economic Area.
- You must have never worked in the country in which you wish to do your VIE.
What are the contractual advantages of the V.I.E?
- Business France handles everything for volunteer’s contract.
- Business France handles the whole care insurance for volunteers (sickness; maternity invalidity; work accidents).
- There are no taxes and charges on salary. There are no unemployment benefits and retirement contribution.
- You will be granted with 2,5 days off per month.
