Over seven years ago, I worked for Danone in Australia. After thorough analysis, I pitched a protein-rich and low-fat yoghurt targeting our younger consumers. That led to the launch of YoPRO (HiPRO in the Netherlands), a successful brand now available in 27 countries. To me, this story perfectly embodies what it’s like working for Danone - you can think creatively, make an impact, and bring health to people through food.
Being a manager, I believe it’s my responsibility to help the people in my team unleash the very best versions of themselves. I do this by actively participating in their professional journeys and building personal connections. Often, these connections turn into friendships outside the office, which makes my job even more fun and fulfilling.
Before joining Danone, I worked at companies where I had to stick to certain tasks and was told exactly what to do. Given my entrepreneurial spirit, that was not for me. Working at Danone provides me with the stability of a corporate environment, but also allows me the freedom to start something from scratch. Do you have an idea? Here at Danone you can pitch it, do it, and bring it to life.
One of my values in life is growth. It’s important to me to continuously challenge myself, learn more and improve my skills. The fact that I get to do that at one company for 16 years now, proves that Danone fosters and supports this mindset. By switching roles every couple of years, I feel I can truly make an impact on the organization and bring the very best version of myself to the work floor.
