The decision to work at Danone is intentional; I sincerely want to make a meaningful impact on people's health. Over the years, I've played a hands-on role in developing ground-breaking tube feeding for intensive care patients and a carbohydrate beverage that eliminates the need for pre-surgery fasting. Besides improving patient’s health, our innovative concepts play a big role in shaping the scientific landscape of medical nutrition.
I have experienced many changes in my 33 years at Danone - from a modest office with fifty people to a large research centre now holding a few hundred. Despite the challenges that come with growth, Danone has always surprised me with its human approach. During periods of personal difficulties, I’ve continuously been supported and given the space I needed. Genuine care for one another – that's the Danone way.
I receive a lot of freedom to pursue the projects that inspire me. Currently, I am delving into the distinctions between animal and plant-based proteins. Even if the outcomes have significant consequences and might challenge expectations, Danone always gives me space to do extensive research and bring scientific facts to light.
Throughout my journey, I've built meaningful connections with colleagues, scientists, and nutritional experts. With the expertise I gained in medical nutrition, I am now regularly approached by others to provide input on nutrition- and science-based projects. It’s great to see that with my 33 years of experience, I now get to help others grow. Together, we are joining hands to shape a brighter, healthier future.
