About the job

Global Technology and Infrastructure (GTI) is a global and agile team whose main job is to manage and secure the underlying Danone infrastructure & technologies, powering the Danone IT & Data platforms and workspaces.

Our main responsibilities are:

  • Enable Danone to operate through the delivery of always on, on demand and dynamic infrastructure and technologies
  • Drive, build and operate a Future Proof Technology backbone to support new business models​ creation, journeys & experiences transformation​, Data-enabled company​ activation and further process automation & integration
  • Contribute to the development of our IT&Data organization through innovation and agility mindset & actions.

 

The GTI team recruits a Product Manager SAP Platform based in Rueil Malmaison. 

  

As a Product Manager, you deeply understand the customers' needs and carry the vision of the product to be developed and are mandated by the organization and the stakeholders to make this vision a reality by translating it into a product that bears maximum value for the organization.  

The SAP Platform product provides world class SAP capabilities and related tooling used by IT Functions and Markets to run their operations and processes smoothly, while ensuring the consistency and integrity of the applicative ecosystem. It strives towards always on, on demand and dynamic offering of the SAP solutionq, from integration to UX, enabling Danone growth and agenda. 

This position reports to Tech for Business Systems Tribe Leader. 

 

As Product Owner you will have the following responsibilities: 

 

  1. Business Strategy / Strategic Vision  
    • Owns the vision of the product, its definition and the associated value. Is accountable for building and sustaining the backlog, arbitrating among different needs and priorities, and the delivery and performance of his/her Product.
    • Ensures consistency between the needs of end-users and stakeholders, as reflected in the vision of the product, its delivery, and its deployment & adoption. 
    • Understands the business needs, structures, and translates them into the backlog, envisioning different solution to those needs
    • Evaluates the costs and benefits of different options with input from the product team to optimize value creation. Owns the cost model of the product.
    • Prioritizes, plans, and communicates on the steps identified to deliver the product
    • Handles simultaneously product discovery and delivery in an adaptative, incremental and iterative manner.
    • Establishes partnership with leading technology providers related to his/her Product. 

2.  Impact on Business Results  

    • Contributes to business results by delivering state of the art SAP platforms with high value for the organization, unlocking new capabilities and ensuring high quality IT delivery.
    • Maximizes value by efficiently developing the right products and arbitrating among customers’ requests and needs.
    • Manages the P&L of the SAP Platforms and key Business Applications hosted and managed by the team.

3. Process & Projects 

    • Technology products serving the GTI organization, IT Platforms & Commons, and/or end users.

    • Agile frameworks and delivery models

    • SAP Applications including SAP ERP, SAP S4HANA, CFIN, ATTP, GRC, SolMan.

    • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and its capabilities including Cloud Foundry, Integration Suite, Datasphere, MDG.

    • Product Manager activities include the management of all aspects of the platform, from defining the strategy for the company, development, configuration, infrastructure.

    • Work closely with other SAP roles (SAP Tech, SAP Ops PM/PO) and with other business units 

4. Managerial complexity

  • The Product Manager drives the team work through the product’s backlog (content and prioritization).
  • Works with distributed and/or partially distributed teams, assessing and addressing the challenges presented by that context (International and geographically distributed squad members, stakeholders, and customers)

About you

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered.  

  • At least 15 years of experience in the technology related field. Customer facing experience
  • Business sense. Good knowledge of the business, the customers and Technology market
  • Knowledgeable about user experience and value journey
  • Technology market expertise in SAP S4HANA and SAP Cloud platform technologies and related stack. Proven successful experience in SAP operations management.
  • Proven experience in SAP S4HANA projects
  • Experience in SAP Solutions Architecture and in managing SAP as Vendor
  • Knowledge of Agile Frameworks & delivery models
  • Charismatic, with leadership attitude, self-starter spirit and autonomy
  • Ability to trade off and make decisions
  • Ability to organize a team & related vendors to support IT processes 
  • Communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English
