We are looking for a new team member to join the Corporate Affairs Team in Danone Nordics and Baltics. As Communications Specialist, you will support the team in tasks associated with external communications and help build the company brand in the Nordic and Baltic countries. You will work in an international environment with team members located across different countries in the region. Based in Latvia, you will be reporting to the Senior Corporate Affairs Manager in Sweden. The position is newly established, which means that you will have the opportunity to shape it together with your manager, specifically in the Baltic context.
You are a real partner to the business and our stakeholders, whilst also being a liaison to what happens outside of Danone. With you on our team, we are looking forward to communicating our great stories from Danone to the external world.
In this position you will be responsible for:
Contributing to the Corporate Communications Strategy in the Nordics & Baltics, which you will be co-developing with the team and implementing across the region.
Planning, executing and documenting external communications activities such as drafting LinkedIn posts, press releases, work on media pitches etc.
Content development and structure on our corporate websites that are currently under development.
Finding speaking opportunities for senior management and support with preparation such as briefing documents, talking points etc.
Supporting the team in setting up or adapting internal processes for external communications, such as creating a content calendar for social media.
Media monitoring.
Developing relationships with local and national media, specifically with a focus on the Baltics.
Handling media inquiries, particularly in the Baltics, with support of your manager.
Project management of activities done through our PR agencies and being point of contact for our agencies in the Baltics.
Supporting in crisis communications, such as creating message houses, Q&As and media statements.
About you
Previous experience in corporate or brand communications is highly valued, as well as any experience from the food industry, FMCG or pharmaceuticals. Experience working for an international company is also highly valued.
You are an excellent communicator with a proactive mindset and unafraid of diving into new projects as well as trying new things. In addition, we also hope that you:
Are driven and result oriented, being comfortable with having freedom to structure your daily work.
Love to take responsibility for your topics and feel comfortable in prioritizing your work.
Have a degree in communications, journalism, political science or similar.
Are fluent in Latvian and English, ideally you also speak Russian, Lithuanian and/or Estonian
Knowledge in image editing programmes, small video creation tools highly valued

Salary of 1700 - 2000 euro gross per month, depending on the candidates experience;
