At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams.  

 

Our Summer Internship Experience (SIE) is a 10-week program that allows students to dive into a project relevant to their studies to further grow and develop their learnings. 

During our 10-week program you will participate in trainings, development sessions, as well as lots of exciting programming!

 

The dates of our 2025 Program will be June 1st, 2026 – August 7th, 2026. 

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Patriciate in training programs that include equipment operation and maintenance 
  • Assist in key engineering projects.
  • Present findings and lessons learned to top management at the end of the internship.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About you

Education and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. GMP/PPE)
  • Communication – demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional work groups including suppliers, customers and associates, both verbally and in writing.  Excellent listening skills.
  • Creativity – generate original ideas, encourage new ways of thinking, explore options, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Initiative – proactive and takes action without being prompted.
  • Learning agility – continuously seeks new knowledge, creates and fosters a culture of interest, curiosity and learning.  Flexible to change and learns from failure. Seeks to improve processes and products.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; taste and/or smell, talk and hear, climb ladder.
  • Ability to bend & stoop at waist level as well as bend & twist neck and head.
  • The employee must regularly endure repetitive minimal to moderate lifting 50lbs.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and results.
  • The employee is frequently standing on a concrete surface for 8-, 10- or 12-hour shifts.
  • Climb ladders and stool.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.

 

IWS:

Ensure adherence to plant standards (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, IWS, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, CODES, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE).  As fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and development of Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and its pillars (Leadership, Loss Elimination, Progressive Maintenance, Education & Training, Supply Network, Initiative Management, Quality, Environmental Health and Safety, Autonomous Maintenance, Organization) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and 100% Ownership and Zero Loss.
