Our Summer Internship Experience is a 10-week program that allows students to dive into a project relevant to their studies to further grow and develop their learnings. During our 10-week program, you will participate in trainings, development sessions, as well as lots of exciting programming. 

 

The dates for our 2025 Program will be May 12, 2025 to July 25, 2025, and will consist of a 35-40 hour work week. 

 

INTERN PROGRAM: The Danone North America (DNA) Quality team is responsible for ensuring products meet food safety standards and customer expectations by testing and inspecting products at various stages of production, monitoring ingredients, storage conditions, processing methods, and packaging to prevent potential contaminations and identify any defects before they reach consumers to guarantee the safety and consistency of finished products. The intern program aims to provide individuals with the opportunity to gain valuable quality control experience through real-world assignments, culminating in a presentation of project results to the Leadership Team.

 

LOCATION: West Jordan, UT, USA

 

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR INTERNSHIP:

  • 10-week program immersed in the West Jordan, UT Quality Department.
  • 35-40 hour work week
  • Conduct, sometimes lead, research, analysis, and improvement projects related to department goals
  • Actively engage the current workforce, through job shadowing, as an example, to effectively achieve project and department goals.

ASSIGNMENTS MAY INCLUDE: The Quality Intern may assist in a number or project support roles in the Quality department. Specific project responsibilities will be identified 30-60 days prior to the start of the internship, based on business need and intern interest. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Help advance quality and food safety in the manufacturing plant by creating a knowledge database
  • Researching novel technology to eliminate unwanted microorganisms in the production environment
  • Assist with identification and implementation of quality improvement opportunities
  • Leverage scientific expertise and complete projects using appropriate research, statistical methods, and technical reporting
  • Maintain stringent technical and experimental documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to be more efficient

About you

  • It is preferred that the candidate be a JUNIOR or SENIOR, pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree, and have completed courses in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Food Processing, or a related major. 
  • Proven leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify areas of opportunity and take action
  • A high level of competence in computer applications and the ability to use technology
  • Ability to handle confidential information and use discretion within and outside of the organization
  • Previous internship or work experience is highly preferred
  • Interest in the consumer-packaged goods/manufacturing industry with the desire to start a career with Danone brands after graduation (strongly preferred).

The base compensation range for this position is $24 per hour.
