Accountant Associate Manager

About the job

Conduct month-end close functions including the development of month-end journal entries; reconciling related balance sheet accounts; month-end analysis and variance explanations; ensuring proper cut-off and reconciling variances; communicating significant or unusual business matters.

• Review and enter journal entries into SAP while ensuring we are accounting for all activities in accordance with IFRS. Maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of journal entry activity. Follow up with internal stakeholders on journal entry discrepancies, issues, and questions.

• Report the Company’s financial data into the Magnitude package on a monthly basis

• Provide accounting support in a shared service environment to a variety of business stakeholders in the corporate offices and the manufacturing plants.

• Develop and implement processes that support continuous improvement and strong business results.

• Provide complete, accurate and timely financial support to management, including developing and reporting of key performance measures.

• Document, implement, and audit internal controls where appropriate.

• Support and prepare various analysis for internal and external auditors

• Ensure compliance with Company policies. Foster a culture that encourages the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior.

• Other duties as assigned.

About you

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting required

• 3-5 years accounting experience • Fluent in English

• Knowledge and understanding of IFRS preferred

• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge

• SAP knowledge and experience preferred

• Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written

• Ability to work well in a team environment while focusing on individual tasks and priorities

• Innovative problem solving skills and flexible mind-set

• Detail oriented, highly organized and able to work independently

• Self-starter, dependable and possessing the ability to respond quickly and accurately on multiple priorities

• Ability to identify issues/control weaknesses and develop and implement recommendations for resolution • Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
