• At Danone, our Research & Innovation (R&I) division is at the heart of our mission to bring health through food to as many people as possible. To invent the future of food and become truly future-fit, we have launched DDAI (Data, Digital & AI), a transformative program designed to revolutionize our R&I landscape.
• Our DDAI strategy is focused on delivering significant value across six strategic flagships, including pioneering work in Gut Health & Microbiome, In Silico Modeling, Consumer Insights, and Digitization & Efficiency.
• The DDAI Lab's mission is to accelerate the delivery of these initiatives, build the strong data foundations needed to power AI, and ensure we focus on the most valuable projects. We are currently driving our top 20 priority projects; a dynamic portfolio composed of 14 high-impact use cases and 6 foundational projects.

Position Overwiew : 

Reporting to the Senior Director of the DDAI Strategic Office, the Head of DDAI Governance and Cybersecurity is the central authority for data and AI protection and policy, and will:

• Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for both Data and AI across all DDAI flagships, including all cybersecurity protocols.
• Act as the primary liaison and as the key facilitator for DDAI product teams, for global group governance, defining and enforcing DDAI-specific policies that align with Danone's worldwide standards and regulations like GDPR, AI Act
• Lead and coordinate the community of data owners and stewards to raise awareness and embed a culture of security and compliance across the DDAI program, while providing an up-to-date overview of R&I data domains

Key Responsibilities : 

• Facilitate the development, documentation, and adoption of AI governance policies and standards across R&I, in close collaboration with the DPO, Legal, and Compliance teams.
• Drive the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive DDAI governance framework for both Data and AI, including cybersecurity protocols applicable to all programs and products.
• Serve as the primary liaison and as the key facilitator for DDAI product teams to global governance bodies, ensuring alignment between DDAI R&I governance and templates and the broader Danone group standards.
• Ensure all data and AI practices and DDAI projects comply with regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, and internal company policies.
• Lead the R&I data governance committee, establishing and monitoring use case gates to control adherence to standards and policies at each project step.
• Collaborate with group IT & DATA to oversee the selection and implementation of tools required for effective governance and cybersecurity monitoring.
• Oversee and streamline the data access request process, ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Coordinate and monitor the network of business data owners and stewards, providing guidance and ensuring accountability for data quality and protection.
• Provide an overview and reporting on data domains (with high-level data mapping)
• Raise awareness across all DDAI collaborators about cybersecurity best practices, AI ethics, and the sensitivity of personal and health data to foster a secure-by-design culture.

The criteria below remain indicative. A candidate who has a different combination of experience and skills could also be considered:

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology or related field
• 10 + years of experience in data governance or data management
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in data management tools and platforms
• Experience with data privacy laws and compliance (e.g., GDP, EU AI Act).
