About the role

We aim to develop and contribute to the Transportation category sourcing strategy definition for developing markets and ensure implementation across the 4 Business categories of full logistics strategy. We also aim to strengthen and build local or Regional Logistics sourcing expertise within the organization, and ensure best contractual conditions at regional or local level while driving supplier innovation and supplier relationship management.

 

Key Deliverables

  • Creating sourcing strategies for Transport category while ensuring roll out of other Logistics categories
  • Set up new ways of working in fast growing zone
  • Foster great cross functional and cross-cultural collaboration
  • Manage key transport providers on global and regional level

 

Key Responsibilities

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT (TRANSPORTATION)

•Build the Transportation category strategy based on the Operations strategy and, in alignment with the C&P Values and in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, to guide them to actively support and deploy the category strategies and activities

•Lead the Developing Countries’ stakeholders to optimize supplier portfolio according to the full logistics strategies.

•Align and be accountable with Global Logistics Category Lads for market tender strategies and processes

•Develop and steer the category network strategy with regional and local buyers and relevant stakeholders, connect with external experts and other industries.

 

MARKET ANALYSIS / INTELLIGENCE & INNOVATION (FULL LOGISTICS)

•Understand and validate market analysis at regional level, taking into account the business priorities of the business categories

•Develop and share market intelligence; external market conditions which might impact Danone Company Business, supplier’s knowledge, technologies evolution, innovation opportunities.

•Ensure contribution to regular Global Logistics Market report updates

 

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE (FULL LOGISTICS)

•Develop Transportation best practice frame contracts and supply agreements for Developing markets.

•Ensure implementation, utilization, and compliance of tools (sharing Best Practices) for all LOGISTICS in all CBUs.

 

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & SRM (FULL LOGISTICS)

•Develop SRM within scope and create relevant governance to manage regional key suppliers of the category

•Measure supplier performance through SET and propose and implement action plans to manage risks.

•Guarantee category performance: risk management, suppliers’ capacity, quality, total cost, security of supply, sustainability program

•Develop new Logistics supplier capabilities and solutions to anticipate and serve new business needs and operational performance.

 

SET-UP NEW DANONE LOGISTICS GOVERNANCE FOR DEVELOPING MARKETS (FULL LOGISTICS)

•Support execution of the overall Ideal Transport Top Program on the Logistics Sourcing / Procurement requirements and lead one part of the program regarding Partnering / Control Tower Development and Roll-Out.

•Run studies and develop relevant models for Full logistics Control Tower Solutions in Developing Countries and support the local clusters / regions in finding the right partnerships

About you

  • At least 6 years of experience in purchasing / supply chain, preferably experience in a 3PL / 4PL company on control tower solutions
  • Qualified purchasing competencies from internal associations would be preferred eg MCIPS
  • Strategic purchasing
  • Negotiation, Transversal & project management skills
  • Analytical & Fundamental IT skills
  • Basic Legal Knowledge in contract & liabilities
