About the Job

You will be part of the Corporate Tax Team that is based in the Netherlands and France and will be reporting into the Head of Tax BeNeLux, located in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands. The role will be located in the Hoofddorp office in the Netherlands. Some flexibility every now and then working in other Danone  offices and travelling to the Danone Paris and/or Rijswijk offices will be required. You will be joining a truly international tax team consisting of corporate tax, transfer pricing and indirect tax specialists and you will be working in a fast-paced global setting.

In this role you will regularly collaborate with various Danone stakeholders in the Netherlands and abroad, as well as external advisors and tax authorities. The role will offer a steep learning curve and opportunities to further grow.

 

As the Dutch Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing all Dutch corporate income tax (CIT) matters for the group’s Dutch entities. In this role, you ensure full tax compliance, support business initiatives, manage tax audits, and play a key role in international tax planning and Pillar 2 readiness. You act as a trusted advisor to the business and collaborate closely with finance, treasury, and legal teams.

This position is ideal for a proactive tax professional with strong technical knowledge of Dutch corporate taxation and a hands‑on approach.

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Corporate Tax Compliance & Reporting

  • Manage the preparation and filing of Dutch (CIT) returns (Vpb) for all Dutch entities.
  • Oversee quarterly forecasting and actuals under IFRS/Dutch GAAP.
  • Monitor tax positions, e.g. deferred tax assets/liabilities and uncertain tax positions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and prepayments.

2. Pillar 2 and International Tax

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance with OECD Pillar 2 rules for the Netherlands.
  • Work closely with global teams on GloBE calculations, reporting, and system readiness.
  • Evaluate the impact of international tax developments (OECD, EU directives, CFC rules).

3. Advisory & Business Partnering

  • Provide tax advice on Dutch and international tax matters, including:
    • Business restructuring and mergers & acquisitions
    • financing, and cash repatriation
    • tax aspects of (commercial) contracts
  • Support cross‑functional teams on business initiatives and new projects.

4. Tax Audit & Risk Management

  • Act as contact for the Dutch Tax Authorities for all day-to-day compliance matters.
  • Assist in (internal) tax audits, information requests, and all foreign requests for confirmation on Dutch residency of the group entities.
  • Identify tax risks and proactively implement mitigations.

5. Process Improvement & Controls

  • Implement and improve tax processes, tax technology, and internal controls.
  • Develop documentation, procedures, and governance for tax compliance.
  • Contribute to global tax transformation initiatives.

About you

To succeed in this role, you fulfil the following:

  • Master’s degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics (required).
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Dutch corporate tax (Big 4 and/or in-house).
  • Experience with large multinational groups is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and ability to manage complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to work independently, handle deadlines, and coordinate with global teams.
