Currently, we are looking for a highly enthusiastic Finance Control Intern who is going to support the DanTrade Finance Operation team in the month-end closing and rolling forecast process, design and implement DanTrade key performance indicators, and assist in the ad-hoc financial analysis along our journey to bring health through food to as many people as possible.

Objectives of the role

• Financial analysis of legal contracts:
  • • Spend, payment terms, rebates, off-balance sheet commitments;
    • IFRS 16;
    • Ad hoc analysis for M&A, change of suppliers, business cases, tax models.
• Month-end closing and rolling forecast process:
• Partner with finance operation teams from 12 countries to ensure correctness and transparency of the financial data used in the forecast of DanTrade’s financial statements
• Analyze Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Free Cash Flow statement variances between actual and forecast and use the insights to enhance the forecasting process
• Ensure proper reporting of DanTrade’s rolling forecast financial statements in Danone’s reporting tools
• Ad-hoc financial analysis:
  • • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to aid in the strategic decision making and give more insight into the DanTrade business model

As a Finance Controlling intern, strong analytic skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to connect the dots and see the big picture will be second nature to you. You have an affinity with data analysis and reporting, and solid communication and presentation skills. On top of that? You’re an analytical person who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and challenge the status quo.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• Enrolled as a Bachelors/Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
• Ideally available to start in March for a minimum of 6 months, 5 days per week;
• You are able to work from our Amsterdam office, at least 2-3 days per week;
• Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We Offer

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
