France Manufacturing Health, Safety and Well Being Coordinator (H/F)

About the job

Responsible for supporting the Manufacturing HSW manager in coordinating all aspects of Health, Safety & Well Being for the 13 plants located in France (covering all businesses of Danone: Dairy, Plant Based, Waters and Specialized Nutrition products).

 

This position will support the France HSW manager to drive the safety culture, compliance requirement and values through the demonstration of felt leadership, the philosophy of operational discipline and the drive of continuous improvement across operations nationwide.

 

Localization in France is open (only requirement is easy accessibility to Danone plants: mainly North, Normandy, Auvergne/Rhône Alpes, South West of France)

Job responsibilities

Strategy & roadmap

  • Assist in implementing the Danone H&S & WB Strategy within the country.
  • Support the creation of cluster goals, roadmaps, and objectives in alignment with country and regional responsibilities.
  • Contribute to developing and implementing initiatives to enhance performance across all major elements of H&S Management and Emergency Response.

 

Sites support, network & comm

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site leadership through regular interactions.
  • Facilitate networking and communication programs among the sites in the country, and support relationships with key providers (internal & external).
  • Assist in alerting line management and senior leadership on issues related to local regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the technical H&S community and link with ongoing (global) initiatives.
  • Support and guide the sites in the region on all matters related to safety and health.
  • Participate in regional and global H&S & WB activities as needed.

 

Training & development

  • Identify training needs and assist in ensuring delivery and effectiveness.
  • Help organize, support, and lead training and capability-building activities for site resources to raise awareness of H&S & WB in collaboration with HR.
  • Promote the digitalization of practices to improve health, safety, and working conditions.

 

Compliance, Auditing, & reporting

  • Support corporate standard compliance and address site impacts as needed.
  • Assist in executing implementation plans for new standards, procedures, or guidelines to support local and corporate regulatory requirements.
  • Help promote consistency in the audit program by organizing and conducting field inspections and site audits.
  • Assist in record-keeping and proper reporting of metrics and key performance indicators.

Coaching

  • Coach middle-management in developing their H&S maturity by providing leadership and technical expertise.

Reporting

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of various types of data, including safety metrics and training hours. Establish a robust data management system to maintain a link between the Safety Manager and HR, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of essential data.
  • Check the implementation status of Health & Safety initiatives to verify adherence to established standards and procedures.

Help promote consistency in the audit program by organizing and conducting field inspections and site

Assist in record-keeping and proper reporting of metrics and key performance indicators

About you

 

  • Between 5-10 years’ experience in the field of Health & Safety – or proven experience in Operations (as Production Manager, Line leader, Performance manager, Technical Services Manager, etc) with a strong appetence for H&S and leadership to drive change
  • Successful employment history demonstrating value-added innovative safety practices.
  • Interpersonal skills to work successfully within a team-based system and ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Capacity to influence others.
  • Frequent travel required (average of 3 days/week)
  • Level of English (B2)
