Role Purpose: To lead and manage a variety of projects across Danone UK & Ireland, ensuring their successful delivery in alignment with our strategic objectives. The new Head of Project Management role is an individual contributor position, working collaboratively across the business to drive project success and enable us to achieve our business goals.
Project Oversight:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects within a 2-year timeframe.
  • Ensure projects meet defined objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage interdependencies and provide guidance on governance, structure, and upskilling the business on core Project Management skills and behaviours.
  • Identify areas where additional expertise may be needed
Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to support project delivery.
Risk Management:
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate project risks.
Stakeholder Communication:
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including VPs, ELT members, directors, and external partners
  • Navigate a matrix organization and balance traditional project management with agile methodologies.
  • Provide regular updates on project status and address any issues
Post-Project Evaluation:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to capture lessons learned and improve future performance.
Key Metrics
  • Project Success Rate:Percentage of projects delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Risk Mitigation Effectiveness: Number and impact of risks identified and mitigated.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback from stakeholders on project management effectiveness.
  • Resource Utilisation Rate:Efficiency in the allocation and use of project resources.

About you

We would like you to demonstrate the following skills;

  • Extensive Project Management Experience and Knowledge: The successful candidate must have an industry-recognised project management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2, CSM, etc.
  • Systems- Knowledge of a variety of different project management tools and systems in order to be able to recommend the 'right tool for the right project' for example Wrike, Trello, Jira, Smartsheet etc. 
  • Proven Track Record: Successfully delivering complex projects in large matrix organizations.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate project teams across multiple business functions.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with senior stakeholders across the business both globally and locally
