Nutricia UK is the successful arm of Danone's medical nutrition division, and a leader in the market, working to make medical nutrition an integral part of healthcare. Nutricia is the dietetic voice in the business - we use clinical and nutritional knowledge for our ultimate goal of improving outcomes for patients.

 

Role Purpose

 

The Healthcare Development Manager (HDM) works to accelerate growth of the Nutricia Paediatric portfolio by acting as an agile resource, driving early engagement, securing adoption in Primary Care, and rapidly implementing guidelines. This is achieved while working with the Sales team to build trusted partnerships across the NHS/healthcare economy to protect and grow our market share. This HDM role will work across London, and parts of South and East England.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare & implement key strategies based on the overall national business plan
  • Drive formulary & guideline negotiations with key external stakeholders
  • Identify under-indexed areas and develop strategies to increase market share. Work closely with the Sales team to ensure account plans are aligned & executed effectively
  • Understand locality funding flows & decision-making processes across Primary and Secondary care & ensure a positive outcome for paediatric products. Identify, profile, & develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) & advocates 
  • Proactively spot opportunities & threats to the Nutricia portfolio, proposing innovative solutions to maximise growth
  • Implement creative projects to overcome prescribing barriers & unlock new opportunities

This role is field based, and specifically covers London, Kent, Hampshire, Sussex, Cambs & Norfolk

About you

We would like you to demonstrate the following key skills:

  • Proven track record in account management/healthcare business development, ideally within medical nutrition, pharma, or related sectors
  • Strong knowledge of NHS structures (ICS, PCN, HB), funding flows, formularies, & guideline processes
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement with HCPs (Dietitians, Paediatricians, GPs) & decision-makers (Medicines Management, commissioners, budget holders)
  • Commercial acumen: skilled in data analysis & building business plans
  • Collaboration & adaptability: ability to effectively work cross-functionally, with agility

 

 

 

 

Salary Bracket: £45,000 - £52,000. We’ll also provide you with a company car & fuel card.

  • Our field-based principles mean you’ll need to be living in one of the advertised locations. If you're unable to relocate, we will not be able to consider your application for this role.
  • You will also need to hold a full UK driving license and must be comfortable with regular driving to meet with your customers.
