Danone MENA is looking for a talented Healthcare Nutrition Lead to be based in Jeddah- KSA like you!

In the context of Specialized Nutrition MENA, the candidate will be responsible for growing our Specialized Nutrition (SN) Categories across KSA’s western regions by leading high performing sales teams to accelerate business growth and gain market share. This is done in line with our corporate guidelines, strategies and through planning and executing, sales plans, developing partnerships with HCPs & medical institutions as well as our distributors in the country. In summary, managing the day-to-day health care nutrition and sales operations for the western regions, and holding overall business accountability.

The candidate will also carry the following responsibilities:

1. Leading Sales teams

• Lead successfully the Healthcare Nutrition Sales teams, effectively develop future leaders and high-performance teams, to retain key talents, to energize and to inspire others to higher levels of effort and performance
• Set sales targets and follow up with the distributor to ensure sales targets are being met and product availability and visibility are up to standards
• Continuously improve the day-to-day operations and personal development of Healthcare Nutrition teams

1. Setting Budgets & AOPs

• Set and monitor budgets for the western regions, especially related to medical support, samples and RTFs
• Work with the Country Director and the Healthcare Nutrition sales teams to set challenging budgets which are further broken down per area and per team member and followed up by Healthcare Nutrition Field Managers

1. Developing and maintaining business relationships with distributor

• Maintain good relationship with distributor and communicate our business plans and objectives with them
• Constant follow up to ensure that logistical problems are timely resolved

1. Business Planning & Execution

• Assess and understand the shopper, distributor, retailers, HCPs, KOLs, channels and competition
• Drive and build long term plans and align on cross functional teams’ priorities to reach the long-term targets set together with Country Director 
• Follow-up with the Marketing team and ensure proper implementation of supporting campaigns and materials in the market

To be successful in the role you should ideally have:

Bachelor and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, Nutrition, or a related medical field
• Years of experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years of previous experience in a managerial role
• Solid understanding of theoretical and practical application of different categories
• Preferably held diversified top line roles in sales or marketing with P&L responsibility.
• Cross functional exposure is a plus
• Category experience: Baby Nutrition

Functional Competencies

• Strong business understanding for both governmental tender and private sectors
• Strong understanding for both infant nutritional formula
• Very good understanding of policy and access dynamics
• Demonstrated leadership skills to mentor and support local management teams in brand and customer marketing
• Financial management skills to oversee the P&L and sales forecasts
• Distributor management and strong stakeholder management
• Good knowledge of channel and RTM Strategy

• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, to build and sustain relationships with teams, internal and external stakeholders, customers, and scientific leaders
• Authentic leadership, able to establish credibility and trust with ability to influence and provide guidance
• Ability to set objectives, manage performance, coach and develop teams

Jeddah, KSA

Languages required:

Proficiency Arabic and English are a must.

Travel Requirements:

40% Travel across Western regions in KSA.
