Internship Description

Are you eager to dive into the dynamic realms of Marketing, Sales or Strategy and Insights? Do you aspire to evolve as a leader in an organization that places people at its core? Embark on the exciting journey of kickstarting your career in the fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry!

Danone Canada's Intern Leadership Program awaits you – a thrilling and paid 15-week experience. Immerse yourself in practical learning within your assigned function, partake in cross-functional projects, leadership endeavours, executive presentations, senior leader mentorship and much more!

About you

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills 

  • Strength in forming relationships with peers and colleagues and enjoys collaborating on a variety of projects.
  • Learns quickly when facing new problems and able to bring their ideas of continuous improvement to our current processes and ways of working.
  • Demonstrated proactivity and taking initiative in a leadership context.
  • Actively enrolled as a student at a Canadian University
  • Aspiring to conquer the CPG industry
  • Bonus points if you’re bilingual in English and French
  • Oh, and embracing a bit of fun is a must!

Summer projects in each function

 

You will be assigned to one function for the 15-weeks internship.

 

Marketing

 

Your main mission will be to manage marketing projects related to a brand portfolio in collaboration with and under the supervision of the brand manager, following three key principles:

  • Providing the company with an understanding of consumers’ needs, expectations and behaviours for their product line.
  • Actively participating in the marketing strategy; designing and implementing activation plans for their product line.
  • Closely monitoring the performance of their brands and of the competition through secondary data analysis.
  • Developing and helping to implement new packaging designs on main brand.

 

Sales – Sales and Operations (S&OP)

Your main mission will be to work with cross-functional teams to design proper ways of working with the new (and ultra robust) trade tool.

  • Understand processes that are currently under the Customer Teams responsibility; review them, simplify, and integrate them into the S&OP function.
  • Assure integration of these ways of working within the different functions
  • Support sales planners through analysis, tool development, KPI animation…etc

 

Strategy, Insights and Transformation

 

Your mission will be to contribute to projects that accelerate the Revenue Growth Management team related to pricing, promotion, pack format, and trade strategy following three key principles:

  • Design and build reports in various areas including retail price tracking, event-level promo ROI, trade spend tracking, and mix management across categories/ packages/ customers.
  • Handle post events promotions analytics, including guideline development and changes to promo calendar for top customers.
  • Development of scorecarding to facilitate trade management & governance through defined and aligned KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
