Internship (Global Procurement): Professional Services Buyer

About the job

You will be part of the Global Indirect Procurement Team, contributing to global projects and the strategy for the Professional Services team (Consulting, outsourcing, trainings, real estate, etc...). You will support the team in achieving some of the key pillars such as: category strategy, top sourcing projects, negotiating contract renewals, improving prices and payment terms, etc...

 

Within a highly dynamic and complex working environment you will have the opportunity to work with many functions around the globe.

 

As part of the Professional Services team, your assignment will be to:

  • Lead sourcing projects (RFI, RFP) Collect and analyze complex data from various sources (i.e. global cost benchmarks);
  • Explore and recommend identified efficiency opportunities and support the business with implementations;
  • Present the conclusions and recommendations in a structured and effective way to stakeholders;
  • Building market knowledge and intelligence
  • Support operational procurement activities like contract lifecycle management
  • Price Analysis

About you

You are a masters students in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering or related fields, with already procurement experience. You are highly motivated and proactive. You have strong communication skills and like being in touch with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally. You are a self-starter, curious, and you are not afraid to share your opinion or ask questions when needed. You have proficient knowledge of Excel that can be used for efficient data analysis, and analytical skills to transform data into useful insights.

Also, you are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you.

 

There are also some compulsory requirements:

  • Enrolled as a Masters student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
  • Available to start in October 2024 for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week;
  • You are fluent in English - spoken and written;
  • You are able to work from Hoofddorp 2 days per week;
  • Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.

We Offer

 

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.

 

* Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
