This role is ideal for a passionate individual eager to contribute to meaningful research and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. As an intern, you will play a key role in reviewing and analyzing historical longitudinal studies, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance our research processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive review of historical longitudinal studies conducted by Danone Nutricia Research, as well as relevant external publications;
• Analyze study methodologies, identify pitfalls and potential improvements;
• Collaborate with team members to develop and propose innovative solutions for future studies with longitudinal data;
• Document the findings and present recommendations to the Biometrics team, contributing to our continuous efforts to improve our research methodology.

As a Biostatistics intern, statistical analysis will be second nature to you. You can review the literature, the methodology, and analyze the data. Besides, you have a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement. On top of that? You’re a friendly, approachable team player with excellent communication skills, who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.

There are some compulsory requirements:

• You are experienced with statistical analysis tools such as SAS and R
• Enrolled as a Master’s student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
• Ideally available to start in October for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week;
• You are fluent in English – both oral and written;

• You are able to work from our Utrecht office (at least) 2 times per week;
• Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) and you have/get a Dutch social security number (BSN) for this internship.

As a Biostatistics intern, you will work in a team consisting of statistical programmers and (senior) statisticians, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research. And the best part? You’ll be supported from beginning to end by your supervisor, and you will have the chance to work alongside clinical researchers in the field. Together, we’ll build a healthier world.

We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
